Well, I signed onto Pagannation today and realized that my blog was no longer in the blog roll across the top of the page. That definately needs correcting.

Hummm…. The tarot card I drew today was the 6 of Pentacles reversed.

I usually interpret that as someone who would love to help others but, although they aren’t nessasarily in the poor house, they don’t have any cash to spare. And that perhaps they should consider giving of their time instead.

How does this fit my life? Well, little cash to spare. Yep. Have to save save save for tuition coming up. It is my sister that I really want to help. She’s a divorced mother of two. And her ex thus far has been dodging child support. She has been sick recently, and unable to work, making it more difficult to make ends meet. Time wise the only thing I can think to do for her is babysit the kids if they are sick and can’t go to school. But usually she calls my mom for that. You know Grandma’s lovin’ is always the best medicine.

What else is going on?
Oh yeah, those of you that live in the Columbus area may of heard that Meijer (the company I work for) is closing two of its stores. However, they are opening two new ones as well. One of them is in the Grove City area. Just 6 miles from where I live. I got the word about a week ago that my transfer was approved. I will probably start over there in April.

Healthwise, I think I’m pretty much back on an even keel. Encouraged by some frequent low’s (without the humalog) I’ve been reducing my lantus injections as well (with doctors permission). Coupled with going to the gym for exercise and trying to againg improve my diet. I’m hoping to go back to diet and exercise control of my diabetes.

That’s my card of the day. I don’t always draw a card every day. Just when the mood strikes me. I keep a couple of decks near the computer.

General meaning is that there are problems that the querant isn’t facing. Things that tend to haunt their dreams.

I suppose in my case that is a bit true. There are things that I have been working on for the last couple of years. Others that I havn’t begun to touch on. So, okay the card is appropriate. I guess I’ve just got alot more work to do.

Wow! I didn’t think I remembered that much! I placed completely out of the required math courses as well as the english.

Registration for spring quarter starts on Feb. 4 and classes start in April. I’ll be taking bioloy and a computer class to learn the basics of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel and Power Point).

Okay, yeah I’m excited.

Just sitting here at the computer trying to do the tax thing and getting frustrated. So I decided to give that a rest for a while, and on a whim thought I’d give this a try. Never been much for journaling or anything like that so postings my be few and far between. But if anyone is interested here goes.

I guess the big news its that I’ve finally done something about getting myself out of my comfort rut. A couple of weeks ago I applied to Columbus State. I’m going to take the placement test tomorrow. The advisor I talked to kept telling me that I don’t have to because of my previous work at OSU. But I still have a couple of my text books from back then (about 16 years ago) and when I looked through them I was like “What Is This?” I have to retake a few classes that are prereqs for program I’ve chosen (because its been more than 5 years since I orginally took them) so if things aren’t up to snuff in the basics I can get them out of the way too.
